Job Description

Pharmacy Technician Job Description Full-Time Position Under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician primary responsibility is to establish an expertise in all drug therapies serviced within the pharmacy to help provide guidance, mentoring and back up for the other technicians. This position will also assist the Pharmacist with patient service through accurately, and efficiently performing front store related to prescription entry and customer service in addition to maintaining relationships with related MD offices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Must assist with the assignment of work to ensure workflow is consistent and meeting patient expectations. Must mentor staff by answering questions and providing guidance on challenging or escalated issues. Must maintain and manage the relationships with referral sources including MD's, clinics, etc. Must provide excellent customer service and assistance. Must perform data entry of prescription orders including calculation of dosing, assignment of directions and accurate interpretation of prescription requirements. Must schedule all technician's workload to include PTO/Sick leave. Must be able to delegate duties. Must be able to problem solve. Must be able to prescribe Wellness Coordinator Must be a computer RX Trainer. Must be an inventory specialist. Must be able to clinically administer drugs and inspections at all locations. Required Qualifications
  • Active MA Technician License
  • 2+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience Preferred Qualifications
  • CPHT Certification Education
  • Verifiable High School diploma or GED.
