Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Full-Time Pharmacy Technician to join our independent retail pharmacy team. In this role, you will be an essential part of a close-knit, community-focused environment, supporting daily operations and helping deliver personalized care to our patients. As a valued team member, you will assist in the safe and accurate preparation of prescriptions, provide friendly and attentive customer service, and help maintain the smooth operation of the pharmacy. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships with patients and takes pride in delivering high-quality, individualized service. Key Responsibilities Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision Provide exceptional, personalized customer service to patients and caregivers Process prescriptions, including data entry, insurance billing, and labeling Answer phones and assist patients with questions in a professional and friendly manner Maintain inventory, including ordering, stocking, and checking for expired medications Support overall pharmacy workflow, including keeping the workspace clean and organized Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations Requirements Active Pharmacy Technician license in good standing with the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and patient safety Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Willingness to learn and take on a variety of responsibilities Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a retail or independent pharmacy setting National certification (e.g., PTCB) Experience with pharmacy management systems and insurance processing Why Join Us?
