In person Date posted: Job Description We currently have an exceptional opportunity for PRN Pharmacy Technicians in Greenville, North Carolina, at an independent pharmacy. The pharmacy is open Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Work times will be scheduled by the Pharmacy Manager. Duties Include Responsible for providing friendly and efficient pharmacy care to all customers. Demonstrate the highest level of confidentiality standards in handling of customer relations, medical and prescription records, and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliance. Demonstrate great phone etiquette and answer the phone in a timely manner. Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area in order to maximize efficiency of the pharmacy, minimize errors, and promote excellent service. Assist the pharmacist in reviewing, processing, preparing, filling, labeling, and dispensing of medications and supplies. Utilize the inventory management system in order to maintain proper inventory levels and reduce partially filled prescriptions, process received orders, wholesaler returns, and expired returns. Assist the pharmacist in obtaining authorization for pharmacy services as requested; validate insurance coverage and communicate with patients. Perform computer entry of prescription information including, but not limited to: patient search, prescriber search, drug selection, prescription interpretation & entry, insurance billing, and basic problem resolution. Clean equipment and maintain all required temperature logs as per corporate Policy and Procedures. Requirements North Carolina State Board of Pharmacy Technician Permit Nationally Certified (PTCB/ExCPT) Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) High School Diploma or GED Ability to work on your feet for 8 or more hours per day Dependable with attendance Critical Competencies and Skills A team player with attention to detail, ensuring that both medical professionals and patients are responded to with accurate and timely information. Ability to work in teams, providing leadership to enable timely completion of assigned work requirements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage a diverse customer group.
