Pharmacy Technician Certification Full Job Description Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a pharmacy technician, you will play a crucial role is supporting the pharmacist in tasks related to preparing medications, maintaining records, and inventory management. This position requires a strong focus on patient care and service, where accuracy and efficiency are paramount. Hours are Monday-Friday 9am-6pm and rotating Saturdays 9am-1pm.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Medication preparation: Accurately measure, count, and package medications under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
Inventory Management:
Monitor stock, receive orders and rotate inventory.
Customer Service:
Assist patients at the counter and over the phone, maintaining professionalism and compassion.
Data Entry:
Maintain accurate patient records and information using pharmacy software systems.
Compliance:
Adhere to all state and federal regulations.
Other:
Complete other tasks and duties as directed by the pharmacist.
Qualifications:
Education:
A high school diploma or GED is required.
Certification/ Licensing:
Registration with the South Dakota Board of Pharmacy is required upon hiring if not already registered. National Certification (PCTB) preferred, but not required.
Experience:
Previous experience in a pharmacy setting is preferred.
Skills:
Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skill to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals. Proficiency in basic computer skills.
Job Type:

$16.00 - $17.00 per hour
