Job Description

The Certified Pharmacy Technician/Medical Reconciliation is responsible, under the direct supervision of the pharmacist(s) on duty, for pharmaceutical care of patients including all age groups (infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics). This position is also responsible for coordinating Pharmacy Quality Improvement activities as assigned by the Director of Pharmacy or the Pharmacy Manager. The individual in this position is to be alert to innovative ideas that will improve pharmacy services and activities and to share same with the department director/manager. This position uses knowledge and judgment to make decisions concerning the proper filling of drug orders subject to final approval by the pharmacist(s) on duty.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required. Successful completion of certified technician training program with successful completion of PTCB exam or certification by Pharmacy Technician Certification Board. Tennessee Pharmacy Technician license required.
Experience:
Three years of fulltime pharmacy technician experience at CRMC.

Full Time, Days, med rec tech 40 hour week rotating weekends
