Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract A well-established renal specialty pharmacy is seeking two Certified Pharmacy Technicians registered with the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy for a 13-week contract assignment. This role offers the opportunity to work in a busy mail-order pharmacy environment processing approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily using the Wellsky pharmacy order entry system.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM 40 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
Dispensing Role:
Accurately fill and dispense medications following pharmacy protocols.
Customer Service Role:
Verify shipping details, enter new patient information, and update patient profiles in the pharmacy software system. Collaborate with pharmacy staff to maintain smooth operational flow in a high-volume setting. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) with current registration from the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy. Experience working in a pharmacy setting, preferably with mail-order or specialty pharmacy exposure. Proficiency with pharmacy order entry systems; experience with Wellsky is a plus. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare providers. This contract assignment offers the potential to transition into a temp-to-hire position, contingent upon candidate certification with PTCB.
