Pharmacist-in-Charge / Staff Pharmacist Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician licensed in the State of Tennessee to join our independent retail pharmacy team. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who values patient-centered care, operational excellence, and exemplary customer service. The Pharmacy Technician will support the pharmacist in daily operations, ensure accurate prescription processing, and help maintain efficient inventory management. Required Qualifications Active Pharmacy Technician License in the State of Tennessee High school diploma or equivalent (required) Minimum [1-2] years of retail pharmacy experience preferred Strong knowledge of pharmacy software systems and data entry procedures Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment This job requires travel between our Linden, TN pharmacy and Scotts Hill, TN pharmacy Key ResponsibilitiesPrescription Processing & Data Entry Accurately enter prescription information into pharmacy management systems Assist in prescription preparation, labeling, and packaging under pharmacist supervision Process third-party insurance claims and resolve claim rejections Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations Inventory Management Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock of medications and supplies Monitor expiration dates and remove outdated products Conduct routine inventory audits and cycle counts Maintain proper storage conditions for all medications Order Procurement Place daily/weekly medication and supply orders with wholesalers Track backorders and communicate availability updates to pharmacists and patients Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders Manage returns, recalls, and vendor communications Customer Service Excellence Provide professional, courteous, and compassionate service to patients Answer phone calls and assist with refill requests Resolve customer concerns efficiently and escalate issues when appropriate Foster strong relationships with patients and the local community Preferred Skills & Attributes Strong organizational and time-management skills High level of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude Commitment to delivering personalized care consistent with independent pharmacy values Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 25 lbs Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements Why Join Our Independent Pharmacy?
