Job Description

Pharmacy Floor Technician Schedule:
Monday-Friday:
Varying shifts (8:00 AM-5:00 PM or 11:00 AM-8:00 PM)
Saturday & Sunday:
9:00 AM-5:00 PM Overtime, holidays, and weekends may be required Position Summary The Pharmacy Floor Technician supports pharmacy operations by accurately preparing prescriptions for final verification by a licensed pharmacist. This role focuses on medication preparation, labeling, scanning, and maintaining organized workstations in compliance with all regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Fill daily medication orders accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a pharmacist Pick, label, scan, and prepare finished prescriptions for final pharmacist verification Pull medications from shelving, storage areas, and prepack racks Apply labels to blister cards and scan products to ensure accuracy Notify the pharmacist on duty of medications or products that do not scan properly Assist with processing returned medications, including recycling or disposal per established procedures Prepack frequently ordered medications during low-volume periods; label and store appropriately Package materials and products manually as required Maintain clean, organized workstations and restock supplies as needed Follow all applicable federal and state regulations, including HIPAA Comply with departmental safety, attendance, and dress code policies Perform other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Ability to work at a moderate pace in a production-driven environment Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English Active, clear Texas Pharmacy Technician License issued by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (must be maintained) Preferred Qualifications Previous pharmacy technician experience Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Abilene, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
