In this vital role, you will assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards, and providing exceptional service to patients. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help streamline pharmacy operations in a fast-paced, hospital or clinical setting. Duties Prepare and dispense medications accurately under the supervision of licensed pharmacists, including sterile IV admixtures and aseptic techniques. Assist with medication intake, inventory management, and stock replenishment to ensure medication availability at all times. Perform IV infusion preparation and compounding following strict sterile procedures and aseptic techniques. Ensure compliance with state healthcare regulations, drug regulation standards, and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements. Provide excellent patient service by answering medication-related questions and supporting patient care initiatives. Maintain meticulous records of medication administration, drug regulation adherence, and pharmacy documentation. Support hospital or clinical staff with medication administration and other pharmacy-related tasks as needed. Skills Proven pharmacy technician experience, preferably within LTC (Long-Term Care), critical care, or hospital environments. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, acute care procedures, and sterile IV compounding techniques. Familiarity with state and federal pharmacy laws, drug regulation policies, and pharmaceutical regulatory compliance. Experience with IV infusion preparation, aseptic technique, and sterile IV admixture procedures. Excellent patient service skills with a focus on patient care and communication. Ability to navigate medical records systems efficiently while maintaining accuracy in documentation. Basic life support certification (BLS) is preferred to support emergency response efforts.
