Pharmacy Technician

Duties Prepare and dispense medications accurately, including IV infusions and aseptic preparations for critical care and LTC settings Assist pharmacists with medication intake, verification, and medication administration processes for hospitalized patients Maintain meticulous records of medication dispensing, patient interactions, and inventory management Support patient service initiatives by providing clear medication instructions and addressing patient questions with professionalism and empathy Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, medical terminology standards, and aseptic techniques during all pharmacy procedures Collaborate with healthcare teams to facilitate timely medication delivery and optimize patient outcomes in acute care environments Perform routine pharmacy tasks such as stock replenishment, inventory checks, and documentation of medication usage Qualifications Proven pharmacy technician experience with a focus on LTC pharmacy or hospital settings Critical care experience highly preferred, with familiarity in managing complex medication regimens in acute environments Strong knowledge of medical terminology, aseptic technique, and IV infusion preparation Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent patient service and support patient care initiatives Experience with medication administration processes within hospital or acute care settings Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for intake procedures and medication record keeping Certification as a pharmacy technician required; additional certifications in sterile compounding or IV infusion are advantageous Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to advancing patient health through precise medication management and compassionate service.
