Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing exceptional patient care by assisting pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, ensuring the highest standards of pharmacy practice. You will work closely with patients, healthcare professionals, and pharmacy staff to deliver safe and effective pharmaceutical services. Duties Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications. Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles to ensure optimal patient service. Provide support in managing inventory, including ordering, receiving, and storing pharmaceuticals. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure the appropriate use of medications. Educate patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and adherence strategies. Participate in quality assurance activities to enhance pharmacy operations and patient safety. Stay updated on pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices relevant to hospital settings. Qualifications Certification as a Pharmacy Technician from an accredited program is required. Previous experience in a pharmacy setting is preferred. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and care. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with pharmacy software systems for managing prescriptions and patient information is advantageous. Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards in pharmacy practice. Spanish speaker is preferred.
