Compounding Pharmacy Technician

Compounding Pharmacy Technician Bear's Compounding Pharmacy Bear's Compounding Pharmacy is looking for a dependable pharmacy technician to become apart of the Bear's family. We are looking for technician that will compound in our non-sterile lab. You will undertake other tasks under the direction of a pharmacist to provide excellent customer service and ensure the pharmacy runs smoothly. As a pharmacy technician you must be detail-oriented and reliable. You must possess excellent communication skills as well as aptitude in using computers. Responsibilities Sterilize surfaces and equipment and prepare the pharmacy for opening Compound non-sterile prescriptions Resolve issues when they arise Select the appropriate medicine and measure dosages to fill prescriptions Sort, stock, label medication and monitor prescription inventory Undertake administrative tasks (e.g. record-keeping) as assigned Comply with all security measures and quality standards Skills & Requirements 1 year of pharmacy experience preferred but not required Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) license is required Experience with PioneerRX computer system is a plus Knowledge of pharmacy law and medical terminology Excellent communication skills Outstanding organizational skills Reliable with a keen eye for detail Able to lift up to 30lbs and stand for 8 hours
