Duties Assist licensed pharmacists with medication preparation, including sterile IV infusion and aseptic technique procedures Support pharmacy operations through accurate data entry, inventory management, and maintaining patient confidentiality Participate in pharmaceutical calculations to ensure precise medication dosing and compounding Learn to navigate pharmacy software systems for prescription processing, drug regulation compliance, and record keeping Engage in patient service activities such as medication counseling under supervision and supporting patient care initiatives Gain experience in hospital pharmacy environments by understanding acute care processes and hospital-specific regulations Contribute to pharmaceutical regulatory compliance efforts by adhering to state and federal pharmacy laws and drug regulation standards Qualifications Enrolled in or recently completed a pharmacy technician schooling program or related healthcare education Demonstrated interest or experience in LTC (Long-Term Care), critical care, or clinical pharmacy settings is preferred Basic life support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain prior to program completion Strong understanding of medical terminology, pharmacological terminology, and drug calculations Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient care and communication Ability to perform data entry accurately while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced environments Familiarity with pharmacy software systems, IV compounding techniques, and sterile IV admixture procedures is advantageous Knowledge of state healthcare regulations, drug laws, and pharmaceutical compliance standards This paid Pharmacy Technician Schooling Program offers an exceptional platform for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills within a supportive healthcare environment.
