Job Description:
The Onsite Research Pharmacy Technician will support fulfillment operations and inventory management within the research pharmacy environment. The role is responsible for accurately processing orders, maintaining pharmacy production areas, packing and shipping patient medication orders, and receiving inbound lab kits and drug inventory. The technician must maintain current knowledge of study protocols and be able to multitask across varied Research Pharmacy Technician functions.
Responsibilities:
Check all orders for completeness of information. Maintain current knowledge of study protocols needed for accurately fulfilling orders. Maintain a clean and well-stocked pharmacy production area according to policies and procedures. Pack and ship patient orders to investigational sites. Receive inbound lab kits and drug inventory. Perform varied Research Pharmacy Technician duties within the CRC. Manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma Registered Pharmacy Technician with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy. Pharmacy Technician license/registration. Strong attention to detail. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to perform accurate data entry and typing. Experience filling prescriptions according to prescriber orders. Experience packing medication orders.
Additional Qualifications:
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. Strong organizational skills. Ability to maintain accurate pharmacy and inventory records. Ability to follow study protocols, policies, and procedures. Ability to work effectively in an onsite research pharmacy environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a central fill environment. Customer service experience. Prior experience in a research pharmacy or clinical research environment.
