Provide medications as stocked medications to the automated dispensing cabinets, as emergency kits and trays, and as provider ordered patient specific medications. All activities of a pharmacy technician are supervised and approved by a pharmacist. Pharmacy technicians collect home medication lists from the patients to input in the medical record. Pharmacy technicians maintain medications safely and within the manufacturer's standards throughout the organization.Required Education:
High school or equivalent diplomaPreferred Skills:
Adept at Microsoft, Excel, PowerPoint, etcRequired Licensure/Registration/Certification:
Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Trainee Registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy. A Pharmacy Technician Trainee must become a registered Pharmacy Technician with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy within one year after start date to continue employment.Preferred Licensure/Registration/Certification:
PTCB Certification, Sterile IV Compounding Certification Preferred Experience:
