Enters drug information into pharmacy computer to establish patient drug regimes. Purchases pharmaceuticals and stocks pharmacy and ancillary departments with medications based on par levels. Communicates drug information with nursing staff. Responsibilities Customer Service Skills Enhances professional growth & development through participation in educational offerings. Complies with all applicable statutes, rules, & regulations, policies & procedures, and Corporate Ethics Program. Accurately assesses and effectively addresses patient needs. Recognizes and addresses the importance of cultural and spiritual diversity as a critical factor in patient's response to communication, care, well being, illness, intervention and outcomes. Demonstrates competency in the technical and critical thinking skills in performing various care interventions. Demonstrates competency in the use of various tools/equipment used in the care of patients. Demonstrates competency in his/ her role in multidisciplinary collaboration in the provision of care. Demonstrates competency in the maintenance of a safe patient environment. Demonstrates competency in performing his/her role in the event of emergency. Demonstrates competency in the preparation of medications. Demonstrates competency in the provision of safe patient environment Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
