Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) Allen Pharmacy & Wellness Richardson, TX Job Details Part-time | Full-time $15 - $20 an hour 18 hours ago Qualifications Pharmacy Technician License Full Job Description The job duties of certified pharmacy tech shall include the following: Greeting patients upon entry to welcome in the pharmacy Data entry to get new prescriptions typed in the computer/ or refill requests Proficiency in answering phone calls and helping answer customer queries on the phone Proficient in medication names and being comfortable speaking to other health care providers over the phone. Preparation of medications for patients Receiving and verifying the prescriptions Pricing and filling of prescriptions Obtaining pharmacist's approval for tasks beyond technician scope. Completing patient paperwork related to the filling of prescription Assisting with insurance claims processing Stocking and pricing of medications in inventory Ensuring availability of drugs by delivering them to patients or facilities Maintaining pharmacy's (and its patients' employees') safety by adhering to infection-control procedures, policies and regulations Compounding experience preferred but not required. Will train on the job.
