Position Specific Essential Functions Navigation through physician orders, processing nursing requests: Demonstrates accurate knowledge and skill to carry out job duties. Follows through with phone calls and sees tasks to completion. Able to accurately document chemotherapy waste in the patient's medical record according to department work procedures. Assists pharmacists and other personnel with IV therapy information such as compatibility, stability, and storage requirements specific to IV chemotherapy/cytotoxic medications Preparation of IV Sterile Products Using the Biological Safety Cabinet (BSC) Prepares chemotherapy immunotherapies, methacholine, preparations, and other products prepared in the BSC. Responsible for keeping BSC clean and orderly along with maintaining Chemotherapy room clean and orderly per cleaning procedures in accordance with

USP 797/ 800

standards and documents accordingly. Customer Focus
