Pharmacy Intern

Inova Loudoun Hospital Retail Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Intern to join the team. This role will be PRN various shifts (weekends & holidays & some weekdays). Responsibilities:

Under the Pharmacist supervision: Performs all aspects of medication distribution. Manages medication inventory. Maintains Automated Dispensing Machine. Performs monthly pharmacy inspections per policies/procedures. Participates in patient care. Participates in department quality improvements projects. Developing skills and knowledge base necessary to practice as a pharmacist.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

High School or GED and enrolled in Pharmacy School.

Licensure:

State of Virginia Pharmacy Technician license or a Pharmacy Intern license .

Certification:

Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire.
