Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract Support innovative at-home chronic care management as a Pharmacy Technician III in a dynamic mail order pharmacy setting. This contract opportunity, based in Salem, VA, offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm for 13 weeks, with an immediate start. Responsibilities include processing prescription orders accurately while interpreting sig codes, verifying insurance information, troubleshooting NDC changes, and preparing medications for pharmacist approval. You will also maintain inventory controls, complete cycle counts, manage returns, and assist with shipping operations. Providing exceptional patient and prescriber communication is essential, ensuring inquiries and requests are addressed promptly. Upholding compliance with HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid regulations, and company protocols is a critical component of the role. You will report directly to the Operations Manager, Pharmacy.
Desired Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED Minimum of 4 years' experience as a Pharmacy Technician Active Virginia Pharmacy Technician license PTCB certification Strong communication skills with an ability to multitask effectively Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
