Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract Support innovative at-home chronic care management as a skilled Pharmacy Technician III in a dynamic mail order pharmacy setting. This contract role offers the chance to apply your expertise in prescription processing within a patient-centered environment.

Contract (13 weeks)
Schedule:
Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 5:30
PM Start Date:
Immediate Key Responsibilities:
Accurately interpret sig codes and select appropriate pharmacy products for prescription refills Perform comprehensive data entry, verify insurance coverage, and resolve claim rejections efficiently Prepare, label, and package medications in compliance with pharmacist guidelines Maintain pharmacy inventory, perform cycle counts, and manage medication returns Handle inbound and outbound communications with patients and prescribers professionally Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and organizational policies
Desired Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED plus a minimum of 4 years' experience as a Pharmacy Technician Active Pharmacy Technician license for Virginia and current PTCB certification Excellent communication skills, strong multitasking abilities, and effective time management This opportunity provides valuable experience in a fast-paced mail order pharmacy environment, enhancing your skills in prescription management and patient communications.
