Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Per Diem A pharmacy technician position is available per diem in the Hampton, VA area, supporting a retail and long-term care setting. This role involves dispensing prescribed medications accurately and providing valuable information to customers to promote safe and effective medication use. Exceptional customer service skills are essential to enhance patient experience and healthcare outcomes.
Schedule:
Monday through Wednesday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, for multiple weeks starting from June 22 through July 29, 2026
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately distribute medications as prescribed by physicians and healthcare practitioners Offer guidance and clear communication to patients regarding medication usage Maintain a superior level of customer service within the pharmacy environment
Desired Qualifications:
Valid Virginia Pharmacy Technician License is required Previous experience in retail or long-term care pharmacy settings preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
