You will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist and collaborate with a team dedicated to supporting patients' health, safety, and overall well-being. Daily Activities are subject to change based on departmental needs: Receive and process prescriptions from patients or healthcare providers. Manage inventory efficiently, monitoring expiration dates, and restocking as needed. Process medications according to prescription orders, efficiently and safely. Provide exceptional customer service with professionalism and empathy. Assist in non-prescription sales by guiding customers to products, processing special orders, and cashiering. Handle administrative tasks such as maintaining patient records, processing insurance claims, and managing billing. Adhere to regulatory requirements and safety protocols to ensure compliance with laws and protect patient health. Adapt to additional responsibilities as directed by the Pharmacy Manager to support the efficient operation of the pharmacy. This is not a full list of duties; other duties may be assigned.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
must be met to be considered for this position : High school diploma or G.E.D. Current Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by the Washington State Department of Health. Minimum of one year experience as a Certified Pharmacy Technician in retail or healthcare pharmacy setting. Recent experience processing a high-volume of prescriptions daily. Ability to perform mathematical calculations and measurements accurately. Proficient in the use of office equipment & pharmacy automated systems/applications/software/POS. Operates cash register and related front counter tasks. Effective communication skills; verbal and written. Ability to interact professionally with patients, healthcare providers, and team members in a courteous and respectful manner. Must live within a reasonable commute; preference will be given to those living locally.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
candidates without this experience are still encouraged to apply Knowledge of Medication Synchronization (Medsync). Knowledge of preparing non-sterile compounded medications in accordance with established guidelines and regulations, under the supervision of a pharmacist or technician supervisor.
