Job Description

Pharmacy Technician Pharmacy is open M-F 9-6; Saturday 9-1 - rotating Saturday shifts (every 3rd) Job responsibilities/Essential functions Good phone etiquette / Good customer service Accepts new prescription orders and refill requests from customers. Obtains information necessary to prepare prescriptions. Inputs customer and prescription information into the pharmacy computer operating system accurately and in a timely manner. Pours and counts medication / Labels medication. Accurately Checks out customers at the cash register. Accurately updates and keeps patient records and medication profiles current. Accurately prepares and verifies insurance claims. Stocks pharmacy shelves. Accurately completes and documents audit counts. Reports and records incidents and errors. Effectively communicates with other team members, customers, and health care professionals. Maintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Maintains confidentiality as required by HIPAA and internal policy. Has full access to Personal Health Information (PHI). Competencies

  • Quality Improvement The hours working in the pharmacy is between: M-F 8:30-6; Sat 8:30-1 (rotating Saturday, about every 3rd/4th weekend.
When you work a Saturday you have a day off during the week) This is a fulltime position with benefits Pay depending on background and your experience
