Job Description
You are applying for a position through Medix, a staffing agency. The actual posting represents a position at one of our clients. Job Summary Our client is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join their dedicated team in a dynamic pharmacy environment. The primary responsibilities include handling special projects such as chemotherapy compounding, preparing sterile compounded medications, and supporting medication distribution while adhering to standards. Key Responsibilities Handles special projects including chemotherapy compounding. Prepare sterile compounded medications, including IV admixtures and TPN solutions, while adhering to USP standards. Assist with medication distribution by processing medication orders and maintaining emergency kits. Provide frontline support by answering incoming calls and assisting customers at the pharmacy service area. Ensure proper storage and handling procedures are followed for inventory. Monitor medication inventory levels and assist with replenishment activities. Serve as a mentor and resource for pharmacy technicians. Support the onboarding and training of newly hired pharmacy staff. Complete additional assignments, special projects, or leadership-directed responsibilities as needed. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. Pharmacy Technician Experience. Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician License. PTCB Certification as a Pharmacy Technician within 6 months of tenure. Skills Proficiency in sterile compounding and medication preparation. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Experience with mentoring and training staff.
