Job Description McCullough's LTC Pharmacy is seeking a pharmacy technician to join our team. McCullough's LTC is a family-owned pharmacy with decades of experience in serving the long-term care and assisted living communities of southern Wisconsin.
Our approach is simple:
treat our clients with kindness and professionalism. Our dedicated team of pharmacists, technicians, and delivery personnel have developed a deep understanding of the daily needs of our facility partners and their residents.. Job Duties The technicians work under the supervision of a pharmacist to prepare medications for delivery to long-term care facilities serviced by the pharmacy. Some of the primary responsibilities of a pharmacy technician role include:
  • Data entry of new prescriptions
  • Billing of cycle medications
  • Answering phone calls from facility staff, clinics, and patients/caregivers
  • Following up with clinics regarding outstanding refill requests
  • Packaging medications in blister packs as well as automated strip packaging
  • Inventory management and medication reorder from pharmacy wholesalers
Required Skills :
  • Strong computer skills
  • Willingness to learn new technology/software
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to work well as part of a team Experience
  • Experience in pharmacy or related healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
We will train qualified candidates.
Hours Pharmacy is open:
Monday-Thursday:
8:00am-8:00pm
Friday:
8:00am-6:00pm
Saturday:
9:00am-5:00pm
Sunday:
11:00am-4:00pm Weekend rotation: No more than 1 out of 4 Sundays and 2 out of 4 Saturdays Job Types Full-time or part-time
