Job Description

MANDATORY ELIGIBILITY & BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS
  • Federal (BOP)
Background Investigation:
Must pass a Bureau of Prisons background investigation (fingerprinting and criminal history check).
    HSPD-12 / PIV
    Credential:
    Must complete identity proofing and obtain a PIV badge prior to working on site.

    Residency Requirement:
    Must have legally resided/worked in the U.S. for at least 3 of the last 5 years (or be from a U.S.-allied country if not a citizen).
      Health Clearance:
      Free of communicable diseases; must submit evidence of TB testing.

      Conduct:
      Must adhere to BOP contractor rules (no khaki/green clothing, no providing information to inmates).
      QUALIFICATIONS & DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED AT BID TIME
      • Completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician Program + internship (diploma/certificate copies required).
      • At least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
      • Current BLS CPR certification (card copy required).
      Preferred:
      Prior correctional experience, PTCB/CPhT certification, WV state registration.
      CORE DUTIES
      • Assist staff pharmacists with ordering, stocking, storing, and dispensing medications within BOP Formulary.
      • Maintain narcotics counts and needle/syringe inventories.
      • Prepare pill-line and unit-dose medications for Pyxis automated dispensing systems.
      • Audit Night Stock / Automated Dispensing Systems and complete Pharmacy Competency Modules.
      • Perform clerical tasks in the BOP electronic medical record system.
      Pay:
      $17.61 - $23.16 per hour
