Job Description

Laboratory Technician Katmai Oncology Group, is seeking a Phlebotomist / Lab Technician to join our team. In this position you will be responsible for performing phlebotomy and efficiently processing laboratory specimens (primarily CBC's, CMP's) and POC testing prior to patient treatment. As Alaska's largest oncology practice, Katmai Oncology Group provides top-tier cancer care with a patient-centered philosophy. We are the only QOPI certified clinic in southcentral Alaska making us the premier choice for cancer treatment in Alaska.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Prior laboratory experience preferred Prior phlebotomy experience required Responsibilities Provide timely and accurate laboratory results Conduct quality control, calibration and proficiency testing on equipment Identify problems that may adversely affect test performance or test results Order and maintain laboratory supply inventory Communicate effectively with members of the healthcare team Perform phlebotomy If you are enthusiastic about making a difference in the lives of oncology patients and want to be part of a collaborative team, we encourage you to apply!
