Cullman Internal Medicine (CIM) has been in practice for 50 years providing leading edge treatment to patients in our community. Our clinic strives to provide world-class compassion Patient centered care. We are seeking a highly skilled, motivated phlebotomist to join our clinical laboratory. This position works along 5 other team members that support 10 Physicians and 13 Nurse Practitioners within the practice. Clinic hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday- Friday. The phlebotomist within this role will need to be flexible and adaptable as this position will be required to work 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday-Friday. To qualify for this position, Candidates MUST have at least two years of experience.
In the following:
Collection and labeling of specimens as outlined in the medical requisition Developed and effective collection techniques relate to groups such as geriatric patients Maintained an organized and clean work area based on state health laws and the guidelines of our medical organization Answer patient questions regarding collection techniques and offer additional resources on the collection process at patient's requests Adept at venipuncture, phlebotomy, and finger sticks
Required Skills:
Provide emotional support, explain procedure, and address patient concerns. Proficient with basic computer skills Procedural and organizational skills Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR), eClinical works experience is preferred, but not required Excellent verbal, written communication and documentation skills Interpersonal skills and compassion Analyzing information, critical thinking, and problem solving Knowledge of infection control procedures Quality focus
