Job Title:
Phlebotomist Job Description We are seeking a proficient Phlebotomist who excels in blood collection through venipuncture and capillary techniques, catering to patients across all age groups. The ideal candidate will have experience with pediatric blood collections and managing difficult draws, particularly within medical office buildings. A comprehensive understanding of compliance and safety is essential, alongside the ability to effectively communicate their importance to other employees. Additionally, this role requires providing orientation and training for patient service technicians. Please note that all interactions with minors will be supervised by a supervisor or RN. Responsibilities Perform blood collection by venipuncture and capillary technique from patients of all age groups. Conduct pediatric blood collections and manage difficult draws. Ensure comprehensive understanding and communication of compliance and safety standards. Provide orientation and training for patient service technicians. Collaborate with supervisors or RNs for interactions involving minors. Essential Skills Proficiency in phlebotomy and venipuncture techniques. Experience with specimen processing. Ability to communicate effectively regarding compliance and safety. Capability to train and orient new patient service technicians. Additional Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma. CPT 1 License. Proficiency with lab systems, such as Cerner. Strong customer service skills. Availability for on-call schedules averaging 32 hours per week, with potential range from 24 to 40 hours. Work Environment This position is based in outpatient clinics located in various North County locations, including Anaheim Hills, Garden Grove, Santa Ana, and Yorba Linda, CA. The role involves working primarily in draw stations. The job offers a flexible schedule and a conducive environment for professional growth in one of the most desirable healthcare settings. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anaheim, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
