Duration of Assignment:

4 months

Pay Rate:

$28•33/hour (depending on experience)

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM•5:00

PM Bilingual :

SPANISH or TAGALOG preferred but not required

Responsibilities:

Demonstrate skills and abilities by following the guidelines in venipuncture, heel and finger stick. Have knowledge and skills in basic collection and specimen preparation, storage and disposal of specimen, revision of daily temperature and recording; according to Lab Procedure Manuals. Perform point of care testing, quality control, reporting and records keeping of CLIA waived complexity testing according to Lab Procedure Manuals. Demonstrate basic computer literacy to meet department needs and duties (i.e. records keeping, health record entries, results tracking, etc.). Performs patient care functions as prescribed by licensed health care providers following established clinical protocols and policies and procedures within defined scope of education, training and responsibilities.

Requirements:

Phlebotomy Certification•Current California State Phlebotomy Licensure Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Minimum of 3 months medical laboratory experience as a Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) Proficient in medical terminology Preferred 30-40 blood draws.
