Job Title:
Phlebotomist Job Description We are seeking a dedicated phlebotomist who exhibits proficiency in blood collection by venipuncture and capillary technique from patients of all age groups. This role requires expertise in pediatric blood collections and handling difficult draws inpatient and medical office buildings. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of compliance and safety protocols and will effectively communicate their importance to other employees. Additionally, the ability to provide orientation and training for patient service is essential. Responsibilities Perform blood collection by venipuncture and capillary technique from patients of all ages. Manage pediatric blood collections and difficult draws in medical office buildings. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and communicate their importance to colleagues. Provide orientation and training for patient service procedures. Process specimens for inpatient settings. Essential Skills High School Diploma CPT 1 License Minimum of 1 year phlebotomy experience in a hospital setting, including pediatrics, ICU, and high volume environments. Willingness to work on-call and same-day shifts. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in inpatient settings is beneficial. Flexibility to work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, including weekends and holidays. Ability to rotate between inpatient and outpatient settings with a high volume of patients. Work Environment This role involves working primarily in the evening shift, with flexibility to cover AM and NOC shifts as needed. The main locations include Murietta, Moreno Valley, and Riverside, with weekly rotations among these sites. The dress code is scrubs, and the position requires a minimum of 30 hours per week after the training period. Training will be conducted during the 1st shift, Monday through Friday, at a single location for the first few weeks. The position offers flexibility to pick up shifts at various locations to increase working hours, with a focus on ensuring adequate time off during weekends. The role entails per diem and on-call work, with potential split shifts or cancellations with short notice. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Riverside, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
