Job Title:

PhlebotomistJob Description We are seeking a skilled and proficient Phlebotomist who is experienced in blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques across all age groups, including pediatric patients. The ideal candidate will excel in performing difficult draws, particularly in medical office settings. A comprehensive understanding of compliance and safety regulations is essential, along with the ability to communicate their importance to other team members effectively. Additionally, the candidate should be capable of providing orientation and training for patient services. Responsibilities

+ Perform blood collection using venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all ages.

+ Handle pediatric blood collections and difficult draws in medical office buildings.

+ Ensure compliance and safety standards are met and communicated effectively to colleagues.

+ Provide orientation and training to new patient service employees.

+ Process specimens accurately and efficiently in an inpatient setting. Essential Skills

+ High School Diploma

+ CPT 1 License + 1 year of phlebotomy experience in a hospital setting, including pediatrics, ICU, and high-volume environments.

+ Flexibility to be called and work on the same day.

+ Willingness to work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, including weekends. Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in outpatient settings is advantageous.

+ Comfortable with on-call duties and weekend rotations.

+ Ability to adapt to split shifts and different locations. Work Environment The position involves working across multiple locations in the Riverside region, including Murrieta and Moreno Valley. The role requires flexibility in shifts, with potential split shifts (4 hours/4 hours) and a minimum of 30 hours per week after the training period. Training will occur on the 1st shift, Monday to Friday, at a single location for the initial weeks. The dress code is scrubs, and the work environment is dynamic, with opportunities to pick up additional shifts. The candidate must be open to working weekends and holidays, with efforts made to provide every other weekend off. The role is per diem/on-call, with a focus on maintaining flexibility and adaptability in scheduling. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Riverside, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
