Full Job Description Overview:
Harbor-UCLA Medical Center is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to support laboratory operations in a hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have recent hospital-based phlebotomy experience, strong specimen collection skills, and a commitment to providing excellent patient care.
This role requires flexibility to support various departmental needs and maintain high standards of accuracy, safety, and professionalism.

$26.00 - $27.00 per hour In compliance with California pay transparency requirements, the hourly pay range for this position is listed above. Actual compensation may be determined based on experience, qualifications, and facility requirements.

Essential Responsibilities:
Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures for patients of all ages. Verify patient identification and ensure proper specimen labeling. Process, prepare, and transport specimens according to laboratory protocols. Maintain accurate documentation and patient records. Adhere to infection prevention, safety, and quality assurance standards. Provide professional and compassionate patient care during specimen collection. Collaborate with laboratory personnel and other healthcare team members. Support departmental operations and workflow as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of recent phlebotomy experience in a hospital setting . Current California Phlebotomy Technician Certification required. High school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of specimen collection, handling, and processing procedures. Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
