Clinical Medical Assistant/Phelbotomy (CPT)

Pay Range:
$25-$26HR, with CPT $26-$28HR Interview process: Two phases. 1st virtaul call, 2nd final In-person Minimum Requirements Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma (completion of medical program required) High School Diploma Minimum of 3 to 5 years of current experience in a healthcare setting as a backoffice MA, and/or MA-Phlebotomy. Active BLS Certification (can be obtained within 90 days of hire/transfer) A minimum of 1 year of experience in OBGYN is highly preferred
Job Duties:
Documents pertinent patient medical history information, previous medical procedures, medications, patient responses, and reports findings to the medical provider. Does not make independent medical or healthcare decisions. Maintains current knowledge of back office procedures where treatments are rendered. Utilizes time in a constructive and efficient manner by assisting in such duties as restocking rooms/shelves/trays, checking supplies, and ensuring that all areas and exam rooms are clean and orderly. Assists and/or carries out medical providers' orders by performing requested tasks. Ensures maintenance of all logs and is knowledgeable regarding basic clinic operations and services provided. Conducts patient appointment and procedure reminder calls. Re-verifies benefits prior to procedures/visits. Uploads all insurance paperwork (cards, verification sheet, Driver's License, authorizations, etc.) to appropriate locations. Performs routine clerical functions including but not limited to: scheduling routine/follow-up appointments, chart management, taking and routing phone calls timely and efficiently, conducting failed/broken appointment follow-up and referrals. Performs opening duties and ensures all patient and office areas are ready for operation. Prepares patient charts for next day (clinic worksheet, progress sheet, charge ticket, review of systems, re-verify insurance, etc.) Please call or email resume if interested and meet qualifications/requirements.
