The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing venipuncture and specimen collection in various settings, ensuring patient comfort and safety while adhering to laboratory protocols. This role requires excellent patient care skills and a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology. Duties Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures for blood specimen collection. Ensure proper identification of patients prior to specimen collection. Maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures to prevent contamination. Process specimens according to laboratory procedures, ensuring accurate labeling and handling. Monitor and record vital signs as necessary before and after procedures. Provide exceptional patient care, addressing any concerns or questions patients may have. Maintain accurate documentation of all procedures performed and specimens collected. Collaborate with clinical laboratory staff to ensure quality control in specimen processing. Requirements Knowledge of anatomy and physiology is essential for effective specimen collection. Proven experience in venipuncture techniques and patient care. Familiarity with aseptic techniques and clinical laboratory protocols. Ability to perform vital signs assessments as part of patient care. Strong understanding of laboratory procedures related to specimen collection processing. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members. Ability to work independently while managing time efficiently in a mobile setting. The jobs consistent of driving around Gainsville area going to patient homes and ALF for specimen pickup or collection. We will send you the patients the night before and you will call and schedule the patient. You job will be to centrifuge and prepare that blood so when you finish your patients the carrier can pick up the speciemens. You will fill out a mileage sheeet every day with the patients you did that day, and send it to us via email. Direct deposit payment are processed Thursday and payment should be recieved before Mondays.Job Type:
