Full Job Description Phlebotomy Technician Job Description:
Your job responsibilities are as follows: As a mobile phlebotomist, you will be the one who draws blood from patients, collects a variety of other specimen samples as well as label the blood vials that you have filled. You will also be responsible for transporting samples to the drop off location. Mobile Phlebs collect from patients who reside at Skilled facilities, Assisted Living facilities, Clinics and Patient homes. Skilled facilities require 24/7 care. The patients may be more difficult sticks and require a seasoned phlebotomist, therefore the phleb who is hired for this position will need to be extremely skilled and confident in their abilities. This role also requires a minimum of one on-call day per week. This is a 24 hour shift where you will need to be available in the event of a STAT being called in. All STATs are dropped off to the local STAT hospital.
Schedule:
Monday
  • Friday 4am
  • 12pm (the end time is approximate and is determined by your ability to complete your collections and drop on time) On-Call
  • 1 day per week for 24 hours (The day of the week will be determined by the area supervisor, at the time of hire, based on the needs at that time)
Compensation:
$15 per hour .50 cent per mile $50 per call day Areas of coverage:
  • Gainesville
  • Trenton
  • Lake City
  • additional areas may be added to your schedule as needed
