Job Description

Job Summary Join our team as a DOT Assistant/Drug Testing Collector, where you will play a vital role in ensuring workplace safety and compliance through accurate drug and alcohol testing procedures. This position involves taking vitals for DOT physicals, collecting specimens, managing testing documentation, and adhering to federal Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help maintain a safe environment for all employees and drivers, supporting our commitment to health, safety, and regulatory excellence. We are willing to train the right candidate in drug and alcohol testing collections. Duties Take vitals and data for DOT physicals and ensure information is entered correctly in the computer. Answer phones/Schedule appointments. Conduct specimen collection for drug and alcohol testing following DOT protocols to ensure sample integrity. Verify employee identities and documentation before DOT physicals and or specimen collections to maintain compliance. Prepare and process specimens accurately, including labeling, handling, and transportation to laboratories for analysis. Maintain meticulous records of all testing activities, including chain-of-custody documentation and test results, which include but are not limited to copying and scanning. Ensure a clean, safe, and professional environment. Communicate clearly with employers and employees regarding testing procedures, confidentiality requirements, and results by phone or email as needed. Assist with laboratory management tasks such as inventory control of testing supplies and equipment calibration when needed. Qualifications Bilingual/Fluent in Spanish, as the majority of our patients speak only spanish. Prior experience taking vitals. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality in all tasks. We are willing to train/certify the right candidate in drug/alcohol testing and DOT physical procedures but familiarity with DOT compliance and specimen collection methods such as urine collection would be a plus. Pay:
$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
