Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will perform blood collection and specimen processing with precision and care, ensuring accurate laboratory testing and patient safety. Your expertise will support diagnostic procedures and contribute to effective patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. Duties Collect blood samples from patients using venipuncture, capillary puncture, or other approved methods while maintaining patient comfort and safety Prepare specimens for laboratory testing by labeling, processing, and documenting samples accurately Obtain vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration when necessary for patient assessment Follow strict aseptic techniques to prevent contamination during specimen collection and handling Maintain detailed records of procedures performed, patient information, and specimen details in compliance with privacy regulations Assist with patient care activities by providing excellent service, answering questions, and ensuring a positive experience Support laboratory staff by adhering to established laboratory procedures and techniques for specimen processing Skills Proficiency in laboratory procedures and techniques related to blood sampling and specimen handling Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to phlebotomy and patient care Experience with venipuncture, blood sampling, and specimen collection in a clinical or hospital setting Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately Familiarity with hospital environment protocols and infection control practices Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining high standards of safety and hygiene Basic understanding of vital signs measurement and aseptic technique Join our team to make a difference in patient health outcomes through precise specimen collection and compassionate care!
