This Floater position will provide support at our Tampa and Clearwater locations, delivering exceptional patient care while assisting providers with both clinical and phlebotomy responsibilities. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, has strong patient care skills, and is experienced in specimen collection and processing. Essential Job Functions Provide the highest quality patient care while ensuring a positive patient experience. Float between our Tampa and Clearwater clinics as needed. Interview patients to obtain medical histories and accurately document information in electronic medical records. Escort patients to examination rooms and prepare them for the provider. Assist providers during patient examinations and treatments. Explain treatment procedures, medications, and provider instructions to patients. Perform venipuncture to collect blood specimens for laboratory testing. Accurately label, process, and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis while following proper handling procedures. Monitor and document vital signs as appropriate. Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection control and aseptic protocols. Prepare and stock examination and treatment rooms, ensuring they remain clean, organized, and ready for patient care. Return patient voicemail messages regarding appointments, treatment questions, or other clinical concerns. Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all clinical and laboratory standards. Work collaboratively with providers and fellow team members to ensure efficient clinic operations. Assist other employees with their assignments when needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Medical Assistant certification required. Phlebotomy experience with proficiency in venipuncture required. Knowledge of specimen collection, processing, and laboratory procedures. Strong patient care and communication skills. Familiarity with clinical laboratory operations and aseptic techniques. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Previous experience in a physician's office, clinic, or hospital setting preferred. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between the Tampa and Clearwater clinics.
Pay:
$20.00 per hour
