Position Summary Under direct supervision by department leadership, performs phlebotomy collection of whole blood and apheresis products. Interacts with donors and coordinators, providing a high level of customer service to deliver an excellent donation experience. Takes pride in and is committed to delivering high quality services. Works cooperatively and is a supportive member of the team/group. Contributes positively to the achievement of team objectives. Responsible for driving the mobile drive vehicle and transporting the mobile staff in a safe and efficient manner.
Schedule:
Must have availability from 4:00am-10:00pm, including weekends and holidays Schedules are posted 2-3 weeks in advance 4 day work week! Full-time, Non-Exempt Total Rewards Package Compensation The target salary for this position is $20.78 per hour. $5,000 Signing Bonus! 8 weeks paid Phlebotomy training Shift differentials for evenings/weekends Evenings (after 6:00pm): $1.50/hour
Weekends:
$2.00/hour Skill based % increases offered for advanced phlebotomy skills training Additional Bilingual (Spanish) increase available after passing certification exam. The target salary is based on internal averages. Versiti sets salary ranges aligned to local markets in which the job is performed. Compensation decisions take into account internal salary averages and differentiation based on education, experience, skills, and performance. Responsibilities With a valid CDL, may operate mobile drive buses. Following all DOT guidelines, safely transports staff, supplies and equipment and arrives at site on time. Prepares collection site and performs set up, including technology systems (may include quality control). Performs donor screening (collects donor histories) and mini-physical and phlebotomy. Treats donors with customer service excellence, presenting a positive image. Responds to customer inquiries, requests, and complaints with a timely and complete response and escalates to leader when appropriate. Provides a service-centric donor experience by interacting with donors respectfully, compassionately, and professionally. May conduct automation (Alyx and/or Trima), including recognizing and responding to automation reactions. Recruits and converts donors for automation. Contributes to and uphold a positive team culture and employee experience by fostering teamwork, collaborating effectively, maintaining an encouraging environment, and by supporting coworkers through kind and respectful behaviors. Maintains product integrity and ensures proper identification of all donors, performs routine maintenance on equipment, and completes department records as needed. May prepare and pack units for transport. Observes donors for reactions, provides reaction care and assists other staff in handling reactions if needed. Rebooks donors for future donation appointments. May be subject to additional background checks as required by sponsor. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification Understands and performs in accordance with all applicable regulatory and compliance requirements Complies with all standard operating policies and procedures Qualifications Education High School Diploma required GED required Experience 1-3 years relevant people facing experience preferred Less than 1 year job-related experience is required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of standardized work routines and methods, general facts and information and/or the use of simple equipment, machines and materials. Knowledge is usually acquired through training on the job. required Ability to read and interpret documents such as Standard Operating Procedures, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and other department manuals. required Must have basic mathematical aptitude and strong attention to detail. required Ability to apply judgment to written or oral instructions. required Ability to organize work to provide productive workflow. required Ability to provide a consistently positive donor experience through professional, empathetic donor-centric service. required Ability/desire to contribute to and uphold a positive team culture through respectful communication, behaviors, and collaboration. required Flexibility to work independently, with a team, and adaptability to changing organizational and donor needs. required Strong communication skills, including the ability to respectfully provide and receive feedback to/from peers/donors/leadership. required Ability to work evening, weekend, and holiday hours. required Ability to learn/utilize computer applications as required to perform duties. required Licenses and Certifications CDL with air brakes endorsement (B) upon hire required Tools and Technology Navigation system. required Personal Computer (desktop, laptop, tablet). required General office equipment (computer, printer, fax, copy machine). required Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
