The Laboratory Department provides a wide variety of assays and procedures to obtain data used in the diagnosis and treatment of most disease states to our inpatient and out patients. Services include phlebotomy, hematology, chemistry, microbiology, blood bank, point-of-care and pathology. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Performs non-blood and blood specimen collection, specimen handling/routine processing and clerical duties associated with specimen collection. Responsibilities + Perform phlebotomy, positive patient identification, and positive patient interaction, proper collection and specimen integrity. + Coordinates a simultaneous series of tasks accurately, including STAT orders and fluctuation in workload, prioritizing work to complete within scheduled hours and established turnaround times. + Interacts with lab, clinical and other ancillary departments.
