Job Description

We are hiring Part-Time Phlebotomist Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and blood draws using straight needles and butterfly needles, ensuring safe and efficient collection from pediatric (ages 2+), adult, and geriatric patients. Explain venipuncture, blood draw, and other specimen collection procedures (such as urine or fecal collection) clearly and courteously to patients to ensure understanding and comfort. Collect, label, and store specimens according to established procedures and specific test requirements to maintain specimen integrity. Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and verify all information to ensure 100% accuracy before processing. Essential Skills At least 2 years of experience as a phlebotomist. Proficiency in venipuncture and blood drawing using straight needles, including recent and consistent experience. Experience drawing blood from pediatric (ages 2+), adult, and geriatric patients. Strong phlebotomy skills including blood collection, labeling, and handling of specimens. Work Environment This is a part-time role of approximately 20 hours per week in a clinical setting. The schedule requires availability between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on weekdays, along with open availability on weekends and holidays to support patient needs. Initial training will be a one week on a full-time schedule, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orland Park, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
