Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Phlebotomist, where your expertise in specimen collection and patient care will play a vital role in delivering accurate diagnostic results. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work closely with patients, ensuring a smooth and compassionate experience while maintaining the highest standards of laboratory procedures. Your skills in venipuncture, blood sampling, and clinical laboratory techniques will directly contribute to effective patient diagnosis and treatment. Duties Collect blood samples from patients using venipuncture and other phlebotomy techniques with precision and care Prepare and process specimens according to laboratory protocols to ensure accuracy and integrity Obtain vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to support comprehensive patient assessments Maintain strict aseptic technique during specimen collection to prevent contamination or infection Accurately document patient information, specimen details, and test orders using medical terminology and electronic health records Provide excellent patient service by explaining procedures clearly, addressing concerns, and ensuring comfort throughout the process Assist with laboratory procedures such as specimen labeling, processing, and transportation to ensure timely testing results Experience Prior experience in a clinical laboratory setting or hospital environment is highly preferred Demonstrated proficiency in laboratory procedures, techniques, and specimen collection methods Knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to venipuncture sites and blood sampling techniques Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to laboratory testing and patient care Experience working with diverse patient populations while maintaining professionalism and empathy Strong understanding of laboratory safety standards, including aseptic technique and infection control practices Previous roles involving hospital or healthcare facility experience will be considered an asset Embark on a rewarding career where your technical skills and compassionate approach make a real difference.
