Description:
Perform venipuncture and specimen collection for neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. Provide compassionate, professional, and courteous patient care while ensuring patient comfort. Verify patient identification and ensure accurate collection, labeling, handling, and distribution of specimens. Follow established hospital and laboratory policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. Maintain a clean, sanitary, and properly stocked phlebotomy area. Assist patients with timed and sterile urine collections and perform throat cultures using proper techniques. Demonstrate knowledge of blood collection procedures, needles, anticoagulants, and special specimen handling requirements. Work collaboratively with laboratory staff to support efficient workflow, quality patient care, and timely laboratory services.
Requirements:
National Certification in Phlebotomy High School Diploma or equivalent Current CPR certification Phlebotomy experience required Computer experience required Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong customer service and patient relations skills Come join our team at Pana Community Hospital!
