Job Description

Description:
Client is seeking a temporary technician to help support the operation of the Framingham Heart Study Biorepository. This position requires the technician to handle biospecimens including blood, blood products, urine, and other bodily fluids. The applicant must be comfortable handling these specimens. Strong computer skills are needed including proficiency with Excel and Access.
Additional duties include:
Organize participant biospecimens under the direction of the Biorepository Coordinator Track biospecimens across sample collection, processing, aliquoting, storage, and distribution Maintain records associated with the biorepository inventory Scan barcoded samples into tracking databases Assist in biospecimen distributions Clean and maintain laboratory freezers Print labels for biospecimen processing This role will be required to perform occasional heavy lifting.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.43 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
