We are seeking a reliable and skilled Mobile Phlebotomist to join our team for early morning specimen collection in Sykesville, Maryland .
Position Summary:
As a 4 AM Mobile Phlebotomist (Contract/Part-Time) , you will be responsible for collecting and transporting blood specimens from patients at various locations. This contract/part-time role requires professionalism, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols. Job Responsibilities:
Verify test requisitions against nursing station logs and address discrepancies with facility personnel Maintain personal safety and proper specimen handling during transport and track mileage as per management guidelines Perform venipunctures while ensuring patient comfort and safety Follow aseptic techniques, department protocols, and isolation procedures to maintain specimen quality Accurately document collection details, including initials, date, and time of collection Adhere to legal and industry standards to maintain a secure and healthy work environment Utilize laboratory information systems to input sample acquisition details Uphold company reputation by maintaining a high standard of service and professional conduct
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy Proficiency in infection control and aseptic techniques Excellent bedside manner and patient interaction skills Knowledge of laboratory procedures and specimen handling Strong procedural and phlebotomy skills Ability to work independently with strong time management Proficiency with computer systems for data entry Safe and responsible driving habits
