7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (based on site needs) Vaccination RequirementsColor vision test requiredHepatitis BTBMMRT-DAPFluVaricellaPosition SummaryThe Phlebotomist I is responsible for performing blood draws, specimen collection, and basic lab support duties in a patient service center (PSC) environment. This role requires accuracy, efficiency, and the ability to work in a high-volume setting while ensuring patient comfort and specimen integrity.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform venipuncture and capillary blood collection on patientsComplete 30-50 draws per day in a fast-paced environmentConduct specimen labeling, handling, and processing accuratelyPerform patient rounds and assist with specimen collection workflowMaintain proper documentation and ensure accurate patient identificationStock and replenish phlebotomy and lab suppliesMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environmentFollow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety protocolsEnsure compliance with OSHA and infection control guidelines Qualifications & ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED requiredMinimum 1+ year of phlebotomy experience requiredAt least 2 years of blood draw experience preferredExperience in high-volume environments (30-50 draws/day)Strong venipuncture skills and patient interaction experienceAbility to stand for extended periods (most of the shift)Comfortable working in a Patient Service Center (PSC) settingStrong attention to detail and communication skills Work EnvironmentPatient Service Center (PSC) settingOn feet most of the dayFast-paced, high-volume workloadMay work independently or with a small teamFloating required between multiple nearby locations Training1 week system trainingFollowed by hands-on training
