Monday through Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00
PM Service Area:
Kalamazoo and nearby communities (daily local travel required) Position Overview We are seeking a reliable and patient-focused Mobile Medical Assistant to support our growing team serving the Kalamazoo area. In this field-based role, you'll travel directly to patients' homes and residential care settings, providing clinical assistance that helps improve access to quality healthcare outside of a traditional medical office. This opportunity is well suited for a Medical Assistant who enjoys working independently, building rapport with patients, and being part of a collaborative mobile healthcare team. Key Responsibilities Travel throughout the assigned coverage area to complete scheduled patient visits. Perform venipuncture and collect laboratory specimens while following established clinical procedures. Confirm patient identity and ensure all specimens are accurately labeled, stored, and transported according to protocol. Obtain vital signs and gather patient information as requested by the clinical team. Document patient information accurately within the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR) system. Communicate effectively with providers, nurses, laboratory personnel, and other healthcare team members to promote seamless patient care. Provide professional, compassionate, and respectful service during every patient encounter. Follow all company policies, safety standards, and applicable healthcare regulations. Qualifications Current Medical Assistant certification or equivalent clinical training. Experience performing venipuncture and laboratory specimen collection. At least one year of Medical Assistant or similar clinical experience is preferred. Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle. Willingness and ability to travel throughout the Kalamazoo service area during scheduled work hours. Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills. Ability to work independently while maintaining close collaboration with the clinical support team. All necessary medical supplies and equipment will be provided to help you perform your responsibilities safely and efficiently.
