CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT POSITION SUMMARY
The CMA delivers quality care consistent within the scope of practice as outlined by the local state. The CMA assumes responsibility and accountability for the quality of care delivered during work hours; works to ensure a safe environment for themselves, the patient and other staff members. Must possess a current and valid CMA certificate and Phlebotomy certification Works in accordance with local practice acts and regulations, and functions to other competent nursing personnel appropriate to their scope of practice Experience in Correctional or behavioral desired but not required. CPR certified. Phlebotomy certified.
